Food, Nutrition & Basic Skills

Health & Wellness is excited to announce that we are the new home department of the Food, Nutrition & Basic Skills (FNBS) program! Join us and our partners in learning how to cook and meal-prep, stretch your dollar while grocery shopping and take care of your body while developing your relationship with the environment around you. You'll also have the opportunity to taste delicious, affordable meals and practice your hands-on cooking skills.

Thanks to a generous gift from the Bragg Health Institute, the Why The Fruit? (WTF) campaign allows Health & Wellness to provide fresh, local and organic fruit to partners campus-wide. Visit one of our 13 locations where you can pick up a free piece of organic fruit every Monday.

Growing your own food can save you a lot of money at the grocery store and leave you full with healthy, sustainable foods of your choice. This workshop will cover the essentials of gardening with limited space, using either a small plot or containers. Come learn how to grow your own groceries, take control of your food source, and meet some new people along the way!

Join us at St. Michael's University Church at the Cafe Picasso Garden.
