Health & Wellness uses the science of positive psychology interventions to help students thrive. We define thriving as developing strong positive relationships, living the meaningful life full of purpose, developing skills throughout life, being a lifelong learner, accomplishing goals and increasing positive emotions.

Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what were doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around us. While mindfulness is something we naturally possess, it’s more readily available to us when we practice on a daily basis. Health and Wellness offers a variety meditations on campus each with different topics and themes.

Mindfulness Meditation Practice

Join Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) Emily Benaron at Health & Wellness @ the Annex (Building 434-147) for mindful flow and meditation to help unwind tension in the body and calm the mind. Two 30-minute back to back sessions are offered for your convenience. Feel free to stay for both! Mats and cushions provided. Always free.
