Stress Reduction 

Community Mindfulness Practice
Meditation is a reflective exercise to help acknowledge, balance, and soothe daily thoughts and anxieties. Community Mindfulness Practices are free 30 minute guided meditation sessions offered weekly throughout the quarter. These events provide students the opportunity to learn the steps to both meditation and a more balanced lifestyle.

Dog Therapy Day
Petting a dog can significantly lower blood pressure and stimulate memory and problem-solving skills! That’s why Health & Wellness brings therapy dogs on campus to reduce stress during the most hectic time in a student’s life--finals. Come pet cute, friendly pups during Week 10 each quarter to relax, take a break from studying and meet some local resources for ongoing stress reduction.

Rejuvenation Station
Rejuvenation Stations are offered once per quarter during finals week and are designed to be a one-stop shop for everything rest and rejuvenation. We offer scantrons, blue books, healthy snacks, and bring licensed massage therapists on board to provide free 10-minute massages for students.

Study Break @ the Library
Study Breaks are a place for students to participate in self-care and stress-reduction practices in order to improve their overall health and well-being during dead week. Students can enjoy a relaxing massage from a certified massage therapist, meditate, play with puzzles and coloring books, grab tea and snacks, or simply stop by for free scantrons and stress balls.

Health & Wellness Centers
On-campus Health & Wellness Centers are offered Monday through Thursday from noon to 2pm every week. They feature free fruit, condoms, resources from various campus departments and organizations, as well as 5-minute chair massages given on a first come, first served basis by a licensed massage therapist.

Pick up an affirmation from the affirmation bowl at your Health & Wellness Center to promote positive psychology and remind you that you're awesome.

Monday: SRB
Tuesdays: Library (Old Side)
Wednesdays: UCen
Thursday: Graduate Student Lounge (MCC Building 2nd Floor)

Additionally, Health & Wellness Centers are provided on Mondays from 3-5pm in Santa Catalina, Espacio 9.
